What Transfer Orders does for you

Create internal transfer orders to move stock between warehouses. InvenPro tracks the stock as "in transit" during the transfer and updates both locations when the transfer is received.

📋

Transfer Documentation

Every transfer generates a picking list for the sending warehouse and a receiving document for the destination.

🚀

In-Transit Tracking

Stock appears as "in transit" so you always know what is moving between locations.

Partial Transfer Receiving

Record partial deliveries — transfer 100, receive 80, with 20 still in transit.

📜

Transfer History

Complete log of all inter-warehouse movements for stock reconciliation and audits.

From setup to insight in minutes

Follow these steps to get Transfer Orders running in your account.

01
STEP 01

Create Transfer Order

Select source warehouse, destination warehouse, products, and quantities. InvenPro generates a picking list for the sending location.

02
STEP 02

Send Stock In-Transit

Confirm the transfer is dispatched. Stock at the source warehouse decreases, and the quantity appears as "in transit" in InvenPro.

03
STEP 03

Receive at Destination

At the destination warehouse, confirm received quantities. Stock is added to the destination location and in-transit quantity clears.

04
STEP 04

Review Transfer History

All inter-warehouse movements are logged with timestamp, user, and quantities for full audit trail and stock reconciliation.

Built for teams like yours

Real scenarios where Transfer Orders makes a measurable difference.

⚖️

Balancing Stock Across Branches

When the Mandalay branch is running low on spark plugs but Yangon is overstocked, create a transfer to rebalance without a new PO.

🚚

Centralised Receiving + Branch Distribution

Receive all vendor deliveries at head office, then transfer stock to individual branches via transfer orders with full documentation.

📦

Seasonal Stock Redistribution

Before peak season, move slow-moving stock from low-demand locations to high-demand branches where it will sell faster.

Common questions about Transfer Orders

How is stock handled during transit?
When a transfer is dispatched, stock is deducted from the source and shown as "in transit" — it is not yet available at the destination until received.
Can I partially receive a transfer?
Yes. If only part of the transfer arrives, receive the available quantity. Outstanding units stay as in-transit until the rest is received.
Is a picking list generated automatically?
Yes. When a transfer order is created, InvenPro generates a printable picking list for the sending warehouse team.
Can transfer orders be reversed?
Transfers that have not yet been received at the destination can be cancelled. Full reversals after receipt require a manual adjustment.
